Fairbanks Ranch
A short 10 minute drive east of highway 5 is Fairbanks Ranch, an exclusive and private community neighboring Rancho Santa Fe. Depending on who you talk to, Fairbanks Ranch is either its own entity or it is considered part of Rancho Santa Fe. Nonetheless, Fairbanks Ranch is similar to Rancho Santa Fe in that it has a deep history that runs back to the early 1900’s. It was named after Hollywood actor, Douglas Fairbanks, and has become a noted and desirable community to live within the county of San Diego.
San Dieguito Road, one of the main roads of Rancho Santa Fe, runs through Fairbanks Ranch, but to get to any of the estates located within the community you have to enter through guarded gates. Many of the prestigious homes and mansions of Fairbanks Ranch are custom-built and vary in architectural style. They can cost anywhere from the mid $1,000,000’s on up to 10 million or more.
Fairbanks Ranch is also home to the private Fairbanks Ranch Country Club where residents can enjoy one of the many amenities available including the 2-story, 30,000 square foot clubhouse, several dining venues, picturesque golf course, tennis, horseback riding, or enjoy a picnic by the lake. The Del Mar Racetrack, beaches, and local San Diego attractions are also nearby.
